Jacob Cooper, baritone, is amember of many of New England’s premiere period ensembles, including solo turns with the Handel & Haydn Society, Arcadia Players, Cambridge Concentus, Schola Cantorum of Boston, The Marsh Chapel Choir and others. He has performed as Saul in Charpentier’s David et Jonathas (Helios Early Opera), Ford (Falstaff, Boston Opera Collaborative), Comus (Mendonville’s Bacchus et Erigone, Harvard Baroque Orchestra), Belcore (L’Elisir d’Amore, Opera del West), and John Brooke (Little Women, Boston Opera Collaborative). Jacob covered Somarone in Berlioz’s Beatrice et Benedict with Opera Boston and sang as Colas in their production of Mozart’s Bastien and Bastienne for First Night Boston. In past seasons he has performed with Santa Fe Pro Musica, Publick Musick, Boston Secession, Santa Fe Desert Chorale, and the Providence Singers.
